How do I transfer my taxi licence to another person?
(1) Where a taxi plate (licence) is in date and the same car is being used
the Buyer and Seller must come public counter, Customer Services Centre,
Ground Floor, Block 3, Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8.
The Buyer must produce a Tax Clearance Certificate, Insurance, V.L.C. and 1
photograph of the Buyer 4 X 3 inch (signed on the back) and pay a fee of
€125.00
(2) If a taxi plate (licence) is expired the Seller must first renew the
licence in order to transfer it. The Seller must produce the old licence as
well as a Tax Clearance Certificate, Insurance, V.L.C., N.C.T Certificate
and pay a fee of €125.00. Transfer as at (1) above can then proceed.
(3) If a different car is being used a Change of Vehicle is required first.
Seller must produce insurance, N.C.T. Certificate, Certificate of
Suitability, Tax Clearance Certificate, Log book and pay a fee of €125.00.
Transfer at (1) above can then take place.
